Alsatian Whiskey
Aged in Burgundy barrels
Golden amber in color, this finely peated Single Malt Whiskey (+/- 10 ppm) offers a nose with slightly toasted and smoky notes as well as a musky hint. In the mouth, the peaty is present but rather melted, we find notes of hazelnuts and almonds.
> Our “Welche’s Whiskeys”:
- are not cold filtered
- benefit from the "Protected Geographical Indication" (raw material of Alsatian origin, ban on flavoring, sweetening and coloring whiskeys)
"Matured in Burgundy wine barrels, this whiskey is splendidly fresh.
texture is ample and incredibly aromatic. Peat is here the revealer of
notes of blackcurrant, amber and lightly toasted almond. " (La Revue des vins de France - October 2017)
The Pays Welche is the geographical area in which the village of Lapoutroie is located, in the middle mountains on the foothills of the Vosges ridges.
